There have been Jews in Utah as long as there have been Mormons! Salt Lake City has a small, but vibrant Jewish community. We have a beautiful JCC (Sam's Bar Mitzvah will be here), as well as reform, reconstructionist, conservative, orthodox, and Lubavitch congregations. We are members of Temple Har Shalom, in Park City.
